How did you become a Realtor?
I became interested in real estate when I bought and sold my first condo in Chicago’s Logan Square back in 2004/2005. I had an amazing Realtor there and she inspired me to get into the business! I got my license in 2005 when I moved to Nashville and have been building my team ever since, and became a broker last year.
What is your greatest priority when working with clients?
It’s most important to me that all our clients feel comfortable with the process and get all their questions answered. I never want someone to be unsure or in the dark about what’s going on with their home sale or purchase. I want them to feel they can come to me with anything and know they are in the best hands possible!
Your areas of specialty are Brentwood and Franklin as well as the Hillsboro Village/12South area. What are some things you love about helping people find homes in these areas?
I love the historic character and vibrant community of urban neighborhoods like Hillsboro Village/12South, East Nashville, Sylvan Park, and West Nashville and have enjoyed watching them change and grow over the last 12 years. I also work with a lot of families and Williamson County tends to be an excellent fit for a lot of them. My ultimate goal is to make sure that I help people find the perfect house and neighborhood for them, regardless of where that is!
As a music city realtor, there’s no prerequisite that you love music, but we hear you do have some history in music, still play an instrument and even sing! Tell us about the role music plays in your life these days.
I do have a music performance degree from DePaul University in Chicago, and music has and always will be a big part of my life! I still play flute and piccolo with the Paducah Symphony and sing with the First Unitarian Church choir. My involvement with music helps me to relate to so many of my clients who are also in the music industry or love that aspect of our city!
You love supporting local Nashville businesses, what are your Top 3 local secret or not-so-secret places you recommend a client stop in to once they purchase a home from you?
Any Juice Bar location, Southside Grill on Nolensville Rd, and Subculture restaurant. Can you tell I like to eat? 🙂
When helping someone select their home, what is your favorite part of the process?
ex: showings, the thrill of negotiating, handing over the keys, etc.
As the listing agent on our team, I generally handle the contract negotiations and that has always been one of my very favorite parts of the transaction. I also love the feeling of handing someone the keys to their new home and seeing the smile on their face!
What does your dream house look like & where would it be located?
My fiance Matt and I actually recently bought a new home in Bellevue and absolutely love it! We’re very high up on a hill surrounded by trees, so we feel like we’re on vacation in the mountains most of the time….but only 15 minutes from Downtown Nashville!
